Im happy that one of the creations found its way to you:)
As all my wood carvings are made from natural wood, colours and oils and they do need looking after a little bit to keep them in great condition.
All the wooden creations are treated in different food safe oils once finished - you can find which oil has been used on the info paper attached, this helps to create a protective layer and really brings out the grain and natural colours in the wood. They might feel/taste a bit oily in the first few uses , a few washes after use and time will make the difference.
They can be hand washed just like any other kitchenware , with soap and water , but try to avoid leaving them for long periods of time soaked in water. DON'T put them in the dishwasher .
Do not leave any wood carvings in direct sunlight or high temperatures such as by fires or radiators as this can rapidly change the moisture levels in the wood which could cause splits or cracking.
If you want to maintain the fresh look, you could give them a rub of oil such as tung, walnut, flaxseed, or danish oil every few months.
Enjoy!
If you do ever experience any problems please don't hesitate to contact me and i will get back to you asap.
